The 10th graders at DHS students traveled to Historic Old City Philadelphia on Thursday, November 17th to experience "where it all started."  Mr. Niemzcak, Mrs. Perry, and Mr. Counard's classes toured Independence Hall, Christ's Church, Washington Square, Betsey Ross House, and the Olympia (flagship of the America's Great White Fleet).  The students ate lunch at the historic Borse Building and represented Delran well throughout their day.

Thank you Teachers for your extra effort to plan and execute such a valuable learning experience for our students!

DHS was  honored to have Lieutenant James Gerber of the New City Fire Department.  Lieutenant Gerber is currently with Engine Number 279 in Brooklyn, New York.  On the morning of September 11, 2001, he was called from his station in the South Bronx and upon his arrival to the Towers was instantly thrust into the tragedy of that day.  Mr. Gerber came to Delran on September 9th to discuss his experience during the attacks of September 11, 2001.
